" . . . I discovered that the books written [on meditation] were often incomplete, used too much Sanskrit in their descriptions, or were not systematic enough in the practices of meditation. Often the actual techniques of meditation were not described in enough detail, leaving the reader with some theory but without the practical tools to establish a practice. For these reasons, I decided to write this book, detailing the meditation I use in my own practice, as well as teach to my students. About the Author:
Dennis Chernin, MD, MPH has practiced meditation and breathing techniques for 30 years. His teachers were trained in the Himalayan Mountains in India, Nepal and Tibet. Currently, he practices holistic and family medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is also the medical director or two country health departments. Dr Chernin received his MD and MPH from the University of Michigan and did residencies in psychiatry and preventative medicine. 161 pages. Retail Price: $14.99
